Manatees spend about 8 hours a day feedin, They come back to the surface for air every 3-5 minutes.. but can stay submerged up to 20 minutes, they prefer shallow water, and they can not survive in temperatures below 20 degrees celsius about 68 degrees. It's allways better to swim with them inst. diving .

Manatees have fairly good vision and can distinguish between colors, gestation period is about 1 year long, ..
